CELSI at ILERA 2025: Sharing Research on Vocational Training, Collective Bargaining, Care Work, and Green Transitions

Sept. 16, 2025

CELSI researchers actively contributed to the 14th ILERA European Congress in Durham (10–12 September 2025), engaging with colleagues from across Europe on the future of employment relations.

Our team of Marta Kahancová, Monika Martišková, Simona Brunnerová, Pavol Bors, and our collaborator from Wagaindicator Foundation Janna Besamusca presented new insights into today’s pressing labour challenges.

Their contributions focused on:

📌 Employer preferences in vocational education and training in Central and Eastern Europe.

📌 New forms of work, social dialogue, and workers’ collective identities in Slovakia’s care sector.

📌 Wage bargaining practices across European sectors and countries.

📌 The future of collective bargaining in European services.

📌 Green jobs and just transition policies in Slovakia and Hungary.

Beyond the panels, the congress was also about exchanging ideas, reconnecting with colleagues, and building new collaborations — moments captured in the photos we’re sharing with you.

We’re glad CELSI continues to contribute to shaping debates on fair work, labour standards, and sustainable labour policies in Europe.
